The HUD shows your next obstacle, falls and fifteen-minute timer.

The Barbarian pipe and Wilderness ridge are entry obstacles, so their XP sits outside the lap totals. Barbarian obstacles can hurt you. On the Wilderness loop, failing the rope, stones or ledge costs 15, 21 or 25 percent of your current Hits. The Void Circuit goes clockwise: Void handholds, Void stones, Rift pipe, Void rope swing, Balance beam and Void leap. Start at the handholds and finish within fifteen minutes. A wrong obstacle gives XP but no lap progress. A Circuit fall deals up to 3 damage without killing you; the lap continues, but is no longer flawless.

Shortcuts save long walks. You can use them while mounted, but melee combat blocks them.

Lap rewards

Agility CoinAgility Coins

Coins stay on your character, take no pack space and cannot be traded. Type ::agility to see your balance.

Only completed laps pay. Other courses, individual obstacles, shortcuts and kills do not pay Agility Coins.
Agility Coins earned from completed laps

Void Circuit1 coin, or 2 if flawless
Wilderness course2 coins
Lowland gallop1 coin, or 2 if flawless
Highland ride1 coin, or 2 if flawless
Summit run1 coin, or 2 if flawless
Perfect is not flawless. Each cleared obstacle has a 1 in 25 chance to give double XP, but no coin. Finish a Void Circuit or mounted lap without falling to earn the flawless second coin.
Void rope: if you meet the level but would fall on an obstacle or crossing, one carried rope catches you, then frays away. It is not used when you are under-levelled or succeed.

Mounts

Ride a mount from your pack to move two tiles per tick on open surface routes. Ordinary riding gives no XP.

Horse

70 Agility

Unicorn

80 Agility

Reaches the Lowland and Highlands and travels 550 tiles on a full Run bar. Costs 300 coins. Untradeable; the Stablemaster can hold it.

Black unicorn

85 Agility

A tradeable 1 in 512 Black Unicorn drop. It reaches the same places as a Unicorn and travels 550 tiles per full Run bar. The Stablemaster will not hold it.

Void steed

90 Agility

Reaches every ford, including the Summit, and travels 800 tiles on a full Run bar. Costs 750 coins. Untradeable; the Stablemaster can hold it.

How do I ride?

Learn where you can ride and what makes you dismount.

Riding rules

A normal dismount leaves the mount safely in your pack.

Where you can ride

Open surface routes. You cannot ride in the Wilderness, upstairs, underground or under a roof. Teleports do not drain Run and keep you mounted when the destination allows riding.

Run energy

A full bar lasts 300, 550 or 800 tiles, depending on the mount. It tires at 25 percent, throws you at zero, and needs at least 20 percent to mount. Recharging from empty on foot takes three minutes.

Combat and damage

Attacking dismounts you. Any damaging hit also knocks you off unless protected, and you still take the damage.

Steady seat and barding

Steady seat is used first, then barding from your pack. Either keeps you mounted through one hit, but you still take damage. Course falls always dismount you.

Obstacles

Fords and course rails are made for mounts. You can still try ordinary obstacles and shortcuts while riding.

Death

A bought mount bolts to the Stablemaster if you die while riding. Carried horseshoes prevent this once. A Black unicorn can be lost like any tradeable item.

Mount-only land

The Highland chain

Three crossings lead west from the Circuit hub. Each needs the right level and mount.

  1. 70

    Lowland ford

Any mount reaches the Lowland Pasture.

  2. 80

    Highland leap

A Unicorn or Black unicorn reaches the Highlands.

  3. 90

    Summit ford

Only a Void steed reaches the Summit.

Lowland Pasture

70 Agility, any mount

3 magic trees, 5 yews, 1 runite rock, 2 coal rocks, 1 gold rock and 2 harpoon spots. Its chest is deposit-only and never accepts your mount.

The Highlands

80 Agility, Unicorn tier

Blue and red dragons, Fire giants, an Elder Moss Giant, 3 magic trees, 2 yews, 2 mithril rocks, 2 adamant rocks, 1 coal rock, 1 harpoon spot and the Highland ride.

The Summit

90 Agility, Void steed

Black dragons, the Elder Fire Giant, a Void Dragon, 2 runite rocks, 3 magic trees, 1 yew, 1 harpoon spot and the Summit run.

Mounted courses

Each island has six fences in clockwise order. Fence 1 starts a fifteen-minute lap.

Lowland gallop70 Agility, any mount60 base XP200 base XP560 base XP1, or 2 flawless

Summit run90 Agility, Void steed160 base XP600 base XP1,560 base XP1, or 2 flawless
Stay in order. A wrong fence gives XP but no lap progress. If your mount refuses, you dismount and lose up to 10 percent of your current Hits, rounded down, but cannot die. The lap continues without its flawless bonus.
